Have you have ever admired an old merchant sign which harkened thoughts of dusty wooden boardwalks, busy town streets with townspeople bustling about between horseman and carriages? Circle KB is proud to bring you the distinctive artwork of vintage sign artist Brian Laurich. Brian is a talented young man and was recently inducted as the 24th member of the Country Living Guild honoring American artists who continue the tradition of American craftsmanship.
What Brian's Vintage Signs are is a piece of art history. Brian designs historically accurate signs on historically significant wood salvaged from 18th and 19th century buildings and structures.
At first, it took us a bit to understand. But, we quickly realized, how special Brian's artwork is and we think you will too.
Inspired messages carefully painted on centuries old painted wood found in the heart of our nations historic beginning. That is what Brian Laurich does. It is remarkable, really. Brian has perfected his concept utilizing painted wood and vintage signs that were used as far back as the 1700's and early 1800's. Colonial time in America.
Brian pays an enormous amount of attention to detail. We actually had to ask if what were were looking at was a real sign because the detail and authenticity was remarkable. It appeared as if it had just been removed from the nail 200 years ago as fresh and authentic as the day it could have been hung. Brian approaches each sign creation differently. Assessing the natural qualities and characteristics of the wood, he uses the wood as a valuable participant in the overall piece.
We wanted to bring you Brian's artwork as one of our new products because it is totally unique, incredibly historical and beautifully hand crafted in the USA. This is only a small selection of the types of vintage signs Brian creates. He does all sorts of different styles so please let us know if you are interested in hearing from Brian. He does custom work routinely and the signs here at Circle KB are reflective of the overall style and message of the sign Brian will create for you.
All of the signs are true one of a kind as each piece of wood is unique. Brian's aim is "to achieve the maximum realism" for every vintage style sign he creates. Brian's work is truly collectible art and history in one.
