Jack Walker has forged his talent on the anvil of experience. The Sedona, AZ based artist, known for his accurate and detailed western bronzes, was born in southwestern New Mexico and raised in a ranching community. His association with cowboys and horsemen influenced his beliefs, values and eventually his art.

In 1999 Jack's life was redefined when a friend, visiting the ranch where Jack was working, left him a 10# block of sculpting clay. Jack quickly discovered a talent and passion for sculpting and shaping lifelike figures of cowboys, horses and cattle. His wife Fran, recognized his potential and convinced Jack to give up the physically demanding life of a cowboy to pursue an art career in Scottsdale, AZ, Jackson Hole, WY and Las Vegas, NV and New Mexico, building an impressive national and international client base and has rapidly established himself as a respected western artist.

While sculpting in a Scottsdale gallery in 2001, he was commissioned by the actor Hugh O'Brian, to create a bronze depicting the star as he appeared in his role as 'Wyatt Earp' in the 1960's television series. Jack and Fran were guests at O'Brian's Beverly Hills home where the finished piece was unveiled at the actor's 77th birthday gala.

The many years of working with cattle and horses bring depth, dimension and authenticity to the scenes and figures that he creates. Although he has no formal training, Jack shows little hesitation in sculpting his favorite subject...cowboys, their gear and the working cow horse.

Jack is now a resident artist at the Artistic Impressions Gallery in Sedona, Arizona where you can find him sculpting and regaling gallery guests with stories of his life as a cowboy.
