> Wm. Malcolm Scopes for Old West Rifles

Circle KB Inc. is proud to bring you the finest quality reproduction vintage style riflescopes available today; the Wm. Malcom by Leatherwood/Hi-Lux Optics! Two basic models cover scoping needs, from the late percussion muzzle loaders through the black powder cartridge rifle era and for the early "smokeless cartridge" rifle models. Both the long 1860s-1870s style "Wm. Malcolm" scope and the shorter late 1880s-1890s style models come with appropriate and authentically styled mounts of those periods.
True to the originals, the long-tube model features a graduated "rabbit eared" rear mount, the short-tube model a "caged" rear mount. Both are adjustable for windage and elevation.
Until now, today's black powder cartridge rifle shooter was faced with either shooting his modern copy of a H&R Buffalo Classics, Sharps, "Old Reliable"...Remington "Rolling Block"...Winchester High Wall"... or any other 1870s' or 1880s' style cartridge rifle with either the factory open sights on the barrel (including veneer tang sights)...or coming up with another $1000 to $1,200 to place an order for a custom built copy of a period correct telescopic tube sight. And then the wait for the finished products has often been 1-2 years.
Well...not any more! Circle KB brings you Leatherwood/Hi-Lux Optics with the introduction of the new "old style" "Wm. Malcolm" line of telescopic rifle sights that will look right at home on just about any black powder cartridge rifle from the 1880s and 1890s.
These scopes closely duplicate the original "rifle telescopes" that were produced by the "Wm. Malcolm Rifle Telescope Company during the late 1800s which were considered the finest of their day. And, Leatherwood/Hi-Lux Optics has made this old design even better by incorporating fully multi-coated lenses and a nitrogen-filled tube to prevent fogging. The new "Wm. Malcolm scopes come complete with precise external adjustment front and rear mounts with 1,000 yard capability with the standard .45-70 rifle cartridge. The scope tube measures 29 inches in length and features screw-in extensions, which permit this scope to be mounted on a wide range of barrel lengths. And thanks to a well thought out mounting system that utilizes the existing dove-tail cuts for the front and rear sights, the Malcolm can be installed with a bare minimum of gunsmithing.
The Wm. Malcolm Long scope is currently offered with 6X magnification, and comes with a four-inch screw in extension, which makes it ideal for most rifles with a 30 inch barrel length. The scope also features a full four inches of eye relief protection from the recoil of large bore black powder cartridge rifles. The Wm. Malcolm Short Scope has a 3X magnification.
Tech Tips: Long Scope comes with Heavy Duty Base and Wm Malcolm Heavy Duty Recoil Tube-Locking Collar. To mount you will need to "Tap and Dye" two holes with the two set screws included due to the heavy recoil action. Instructions included. (Qualified Gunsmith Services Recommended) The Wm. Malcolm Short Scope fits most standard Unertl bases.Wm. Malcolm Scopes for Old West Rifles
