This is a "pencil" of "Chief Tosh~A~Wah," (Tosawi) a Commanche. He
is wearing a "Jeff Davis" hat along with a presidential peace medal
around his neck. "Chief Tosh~A~Wah."

Buffalo Bill Historical Center, Cody, Wyoming. The portrait
photograph reference was taken by photographer William S. Soule in
1868.
