A total of 38,853 of these fine revolvers were produced in Colt's Hartford, Connecticut factory between 1861 and 1873. Of these, an estimated 4,000 were sold to the U.S. Government, including 650 to the U.S. Navy. This weapon was also purchased by U.S. states and by individuals, and saw extensive use during the Civil War.
This authentic reproduction is made to the highest standards by Pietta of Italy. It features a case hardened steel frame, steel backstrap and triggerguard, and a blued 8" steel barrel. The stock is walnut and makes provision for a shoulder stock. This gun will give years of enjoyment to the shooter and collector.

The 1861 Colt Navy Revolver is a streamlined version of the older 1851 Colt Navy revolver, and is one of the most attractive and perhaps the finest of all Colt black powder percussion handguns ever made. It was one of the last military style percussion revolvers and is an excellent gun in all respects.
