Can you believe that a single concho belt can hold over 1500K of Turquoise?! This is a concho belt for someone who's not afraid to make a lasting impression. This spectacular work of wearable art features large nuggets of genuine Number 8 Nevada Turquoise. Each nugget of this Turquoise has a natural sky blue color that Turquoise is famous for, and each nugget has a unique eye-catching natural matrix that makes it a one of a kind. These nuggets appear in the center of a buckle and ten high quality conchos of Sterling Silver. The buckle and each concho are hand cut and hand tooled in a traditional southwestern style. The buckle is 3-1/4" by 3". The ten conchos range from 2-1/2" to 3-1/4" in length and from 2-1/8" to 2-1/4" in width. The leather belt is cut to fit (include your size while ordering). Select red leather (shown) or black leather, let us know which you prefer. Stamped Sterling. Signed by the Navajo Indian artist JE (Jimmy Emerson).
Perfect concho belt for men and women who don't mind making a HUGE impression. Warning: You will be noticed wearing this belt.
Whats so special about Turqoise? Turquoise has been, since about 200 B.C., extensively used by southwestern U.S Native Americans and by many of the Indian tribes in Mexico. The Native American Jewelry or "Indian style" jewelry with turquoise mounted in or with silver is relatively new. Some believe this style of Jewelry was unknown prior to about 1880, when a white trader persuaded a Navajo craftsman to make turquoise and silver jewelry using coin silver. Prior to this time, the Native Americans had made solid turquoise beads, carvings, and inlaid mosaics. Recently, turquoise has found wide acceptance among people of all walks of life and from many different ethnic groups.
We understand the true value and nature of hand crafted Native American art. And, we recognize it’s important to know that the artist is truly a member of a Native American tribe. So, to ensure you that this is the real deal, a Certificate of Authenticity has been included with this item. CERTIFIED AUTHENTIC |
