The Catherine is one of our favorite frontier reproduction women's boots. Made by Oak Tree, a western boot maker that speicalizes in frontier and old western style boots for women and men. Miniature eyelets, typical in the late 1800's, with upper canvas and soft calfskin leathers and leather soles. The spool heal is old fashioned and the Catherine soles have a floral imprint, oh so Catherine like.

Sensational, 9.26.2012 Reviewer: Erin Gallagher (Chicago, Illinois) I am a jewelry and accessories designer operating out of Chicago. Most of my events require a costume. I sought out these particular boots for standing and vending for 8 hours at a time and needed something that was both period and comfortable...and...intensely practical. (I have to usually load in my own stuff to these events and have little time to change. So the footwear I set up in is what I'm in for the duration) All I can say is "thank goodness for Circle KB". These Catherine boots are as comfortable as if they were made for my exact feet (and scrawny ankles. LOL). Perfect heel height. Beautiful. Functional. Period appropriate. True to suggested size...they recommend going up a half size, I wear a street size 9 and ordered a 9.5 and they are perfect for me. They do require some patience for the lacing so take the time. They are a little "heel slick" meaning they are exposed leather...which is beautifully executed.I imagine, since they are frontier boots, they are meant for outside wear. Mostly I will be wearing them indoors at art events. That being said, I will, more than likely,have a local cobbler put on heel tread to prevent me from falling "hind quarters over the proverbial tea kettle" on these convention centers' super high gloss shiny flooring. Above all, these get my full product endorsement as a costume designer, artist, history geek and craft artisan. I'm hooting and hollering on Facebook as we speak.
